P6/7

 Welcome to the P6/7 page, we hope you enjoy seeing what we have been getting up to throughout the year!

Our class won the Coin Wars competition, run by our Parent Support Group recently. They collected the most money which will go towards our Laptop fund. Thanks to the PSG for the treats to enjoy with their movie afternoon!

P6/7 had a very enjoyable day out to the Titanic Centre in Belfast to finish off their WAU work on Titanic.

We recently had some sessions with Titanic on the Move Museum through Microsoft Teams.  We were provided with a box of items associated with the Titanic topic and we also had the task of designing posters to advertise our own themed ships.

Well done boys on your achievements in Accelerated Reading.

Hope for Youth Ministries visited school recently for a week of assemblies where the children got to do lots of singing, hear Bible stories and take part in quizzes. It was lots of fun!

We all enjoyed our delicious Christmas dinner!

Our drinking chocolate pictures were drawn using chalk pastels.

Here are our snowmen pictures that we completed using chalk pastels. We were very pleased with our finished pictures.

P6/7 had a great morning taking part in Eldridges which was organised by our Parent Support Group. The children were able to get lovely presents for their friends and family.

We enjoyed a trip to the cinema to see the new ‘Wonka’ film just before finishing for Christmas.  

We enjoyed another few days with our friends in Collegelands Nursing Home.

Some of our pupils who recently received certificates for their achievements in Accelerated Reading.

As part of the Shared Education Programme, our P6/7 class have written some lovely letters to their pen pals in St. John’s Primary School.

To celebrate the SEAG tests finishing, all our P7 pupils had some tasty treats. 

We had session 2 of the Nature Rangers Programme. It was an in school workshop which focused on looking at different types of birds, making bird feeders and the bird feed for them and then we went outside with binoculars to search for different birds.

KS2 had so much fun at Parkanaur with Speedwell as part of the Nature Rangers Programme.  Session 1 included exploring habitats and seasons.

P7 pupils took part in an Act of Remembrance at Moy War Memorial to remember those who have given their lives for us.

Many thanks to Eurospar Moy for the lovely sweetie hamper kindly gifted to our P7 pupils for their pumpkin creations.

P6/7 had lots of fun making s’mores as part of our Autumn Fun week.

Many thanks to Eurospar, Moy who provided our P7 pupils with pumpkins and carving kits to participate in their pumpkin carving competition.  The children had great fun!

We visited the residents at Collegelands Nursing Home as part of the Intergenerational Project.  We had lovely chats and then went on to do some Halloween art!

As part of our Titanic topic, the children were learning about the Harland & Wolff shipyard. We looked at the two cranes and then did pencil sketches of them.

P6/7 enjoyed investigating different oil pastel techniques. They were then able to use these techniques to draw and colour different fruit.

Well done to our first group of CR Hockey & Healthy Kidz ‘Players of the Week’.

We had Debbie and Rachel in from PeacePlayers, Northern Ireland who spoke to us about their after school Bridging Divides Programme which will be taking place in our local council area soon.

P6/7 had a fantastic time at Shannaghmore Outdoor Education Centre recently. They had lots of fun completing each activity and the food was delicious
